Colin Mascarenhas is an Odissi Dance artist and LGBTQI+ activist in the city of Chicago. He started his Odissi journey in Mumbai under Smitalay, an esteemed school started under the veteran actress Smita Patil and run by Guru Jhelum Paranjape. He has performed at multiple events in various cities of India that include NCPA Mumbai, Akhil Bharitya Sanskrutik Sangh Pune and the Natyanjali festival Mumbai. He has also performed at various events in Chicago including the republic day celebrations at the Consulate of India, Chicago. He is very passionate about keeping the Odissi tradition alive and passing it to the new generation of dancers with its original pattern of teachings.

See Colin Mascarhenas perform at the Artist Showcase on Sunday, June 26th at Indian Boundary Park Cultural Center. Following his solo performance, Colin joins Mandala Ensemble for a cross-regional collaboration of live dance and music.
