Abhijeet’s Bollywood Drag Divas represent the vibrant queer Desi performance scene in Chicago.

Abhijeet is a drag queen and nightlife producer in Chicago. Hailed as a 7ft tall Bollywood Barbie, she brings the glitz and glam both on and off the stage through larger-than-life looks and performances. In addition to being a featured artist at Chicago’s favorite LGBTQ+ venues, Abhijeet is a founding member of nightlife collective A Queer Pride and the producer of sold-out drag brunch Dim Sum & Drag, underground party series BOOTS, and the city’s first-ever outdoor drag festival Chicago Is A Drag Fest.

Masala Sapphire is a drag queen and Chicago’s “Favorite Item Girl”. She is the host of Jai Ho, the longest-standing queer Desi party in the city. Masala serves as a board member for Trikone Chicago, an organization that supports Chicago’s South Asian LGBT community.

Zafina Hasheesh is an entertainer out of Chicago, Illinois and holds multiple titles as a pageant queen. Her titles include Miss New Jersey Continental Plus 2018 (Prelim to Miss Continental Plus), Miss Gay Minnesota United States 2017, Minnesota All American Goddess at Large 2017, Miss Illinois Continental Plus 2014, and Miss Gay Wisconsin North America Int’l at Large 2013.

K’hole Kardashian
K’hole Kardashian has been living and doing drag in Chicago for four years. She is the Eyebrow of Illinois and a comedienne. K’hole is an Arab drag performer that twirls and hurls while telling a funny, compelling story with her face and body, often at the same time, in under 4 minutes. Catch her every month at Berlin as the host of Mom Jeans.

Ashaandti
(they/ them) Ashaandti’s work pokes at the boundaries of internal and external perception, with a specialization in Trans Audacity. Today, you can see this audacity on display regularly with the Joel Hall Dancers, Such Creatures, and Mandala South Asian Performing Arts. Other favorite credits include work with Abhijeet, Gigi Madid, Nick Cave, Ishti Collective, The Met Down, Rivet Dance Company, Egun Artists, The Inconvenience, Haven Theatre, Jarrett Rashad, and Kim Brandt. Favorite Movement Direction credits include work with Brown Paper Box Theatre Co. and (re)discover theatre.
